According to news reports, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is now inviting tenders from established firms for the construction of a bridge at Butcher Khana Distributary along Chenab Road in Jinnah Sector, LDA City Housing Scheme.

The last date to submit all the required tender documents is November 23, 2021 at 11 am sharp while the tender will be opened on the same day within the next 30 to 40 minutes. According to this detailed tender request, the bids are invited on a single stage one envelope procedure under the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA-38-1) rules. It is mandatory for all participatory firms to have complete registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-4 and with Codes of CE-1, CE-02, CE-09 and CE-10 only. 

PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED 

• The tender document for the project is made available on the LDA’s official website as well as on the LDA tender booth in the LDA office Johar Town Lahore. The payment of PKR 5,000 fee is required that is non refundable. 

• As per the tender request, the tender will be opened on the same day as the closing date of the tender submission on November 23, 2021 at 11 in the morning.

• All of the required information regarding this bridge’s construction site and tender documents can be accessed through the office of LDA Urban Development (UD) wing during office hours before the last date that is November 23, 2021. 

• All the participatory firms will have to submit a 5% earnest deposit that equates to about PKR 3.898 million of the total estimated cost of the project PKR 77.593 million as a form of bank guarantee.
