Contract Signed For Low Cost Housing Scheme Under NPHP In Punjab

According to news sources, the Punjab Government has awarded the contract for the construction of low cost houses under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) to the National Logistics Cell (NLC) and Frontier Works Organisation (FWO). 

The construction of these houses will be carried out by these two organizations; NLC and FWO. The low cost housing project will now include the construction of houses as well as the development of infrastructure.  10,000 low-cost NPHP units will be constructed out of which 700+ units will be built in Raiwind, Lahore, under the agreement between NLC and FWO.  

It was highlighted that the government wants to facilitate poor strata of the society by all means. A large number of people have expressed their keen interest in low-cost and affordable housing projects. He asked Akhuwat Foundation chairman to issue a Rs500,000 loan to the successful applicants of the NPHP.

In a recent meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC), the Prime Minister, Imran Khan declared that about 250,000 job opportunities are created under the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA).
