Development Projects Approved By The Punjab Government Of Worth More Than 3 Billion

According to the news reports, On October 20, the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved five uplift schemes worth PKR 3.023 billion. The chairperson of Planning & Development (P&D), Abdulla Khan Sumbal, approved this project in the 28th meeting of PWDP here in Lahore. 

Punjab Finance Department issued funds for the development projects in Punjab worth that had been scheduled for the first quarter of the fiscal year (FY-2021-22). In the first quarter of the last fiscal year, funds were released at a much higher rate of up to PKR 86 billion.

The breakdown of the allocation of funds is for the ongoing fiscal year (FY 2021-22) is as follows:

PKR 1 Billion for the development of comprehensive sewerage, drainage and water supply system in Gujrat City 

PKR 681.5 Million for the advocacy campaign leading to call of action-social and behaviour change 

PKR 857.337 Million for the programmes centred around the strengthening of Integrated supply chain management information for accurate commodity forecast, supply planning & visibility  

PKR 21 Million for the establishment of the University of Technology, Rawalpindi

PKR 462.014 Million for the construction of the Women Development Complex
