According to the news announced on October 1st (Friday), the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has submitted a proposal to the Punjab Government for the construction of a 16 kilometer long link road that will link Gujrat to Sialkot – Lahore Motorway (M-11).
According to the news reports, the link road from the industrial city is to be developed on a public-private partnership (PPP) project. The president of GCCI, Umar Ashraf Mughal, stated that PKR 6 Billion will be provided by the local business community for the construction of a dual carriageway while the land provided by the government for the project was worth PKR 900 million.
