According to news reports, on Friday, November 12, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) inaugurated ‘Overseas Pakistani Desk’ at the LDA office as a step to secure the properties of Pakistanis who are living abroad. This state of the art facilitation desk will provide detailed information about the sale and purchase of the properties and other relevant issues of overseas Pakistanis.
LDA’s ‘One Window Cell’ organized the inauguration ceremony. This ceremony was attended by LDA officials including LDA Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar along with Overseas Pakistanis Commission Vice Chairman Syed Tariq Mehmoodul Hassan.
As per the details shared by news sources, the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar made orders to set up the Overseas Pakistani Desk for Pakistanis living abroad. He directed LDA to operate the desk on a revolutionary and fast track system to resolve all complaints of non resident Pakistanis within 15 to 20 days. In another development, the LDA Town Planning Wing is conducting an anti-encroachment operation in Allama Iqbal Town, Sabzazar, as well as Multan Road. Furthermore, all the illegal sports clubs in Sabzazar, many shops in Allama Iqbal Town and a commercial building at Multan Road were razed.
